About the Program Coordinator
Bob Hershberger served as the Executive Vice President of the Greater Williamsburg Chamber & Tourism Alliance for 24 years. Currently, he is the Program Coordinator for LEAD Greater Williamsburg.
Bob has previous chamber experience with the Virginia Peninsula and Hampton Roads organizations. Commissioned into the United States Air Force, he completed 25 years of service before retiring in 1993. Among his decorations are the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Air Force Commendation Medal.
He graduated from The Citadel and earned a master’s degree from The George Washington University. He completed the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organizational Management and received the Certified Chamber Executive designation from the American Chamber of Commerce Executives.
He has served and held leadership positions on a variety of professional and community boards of directors including Williamsburg Landing Residents’ Council, Literacy for Life, Walsingham Academy, Williamsburg Memorial Park, United Way of Greater Williamsburg, Virginia Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, and Virginia Chamber of Commerce.
Bob is a member and past president of the Williamsburg Rotary Club, and is married.
